Bottom Connections for Wellheads

CQS-SL Bottom Connection
CQS-SL Bottom Connection system is a simple slip type device requiring less installation time thanks to no welding. Elastomer ES seals are employed. CQS-SL Slip-Lock device can work at 10,000 psi and be used for more than one wells.

CQS-W Bottom Connection

Standard O-ring is available with CQS-W Bottom Connections suitable for CQS casing heads with 10-3/4” or smaller casing preparations. For casings larger than 10-3/4”, an external weld will be offered. In addition, this connection contains a 1/2” line pipe test port to validate the integrity of the weld and O-ring seals.  

CQS-BT Bottom Connection

CQS-BT Casing Box Thread is offered for the applications in which threaded connections are specified for casing heads (Casing Housing Box X Casing Pin Thread). In this case, the lower connections outside diameter are standardized where possible to allow use of material for CQS heads.  

Bottom Connections

Bottom connections cover SL (slip), W (welded), and BT (threaded) for various field applications. And if necessary, special bottom connections also can be offered.

Secondary Seals

CQS Spools are equipped with seals: Single and Double ES seals (special elastomers), EM (elastomer plus metal-to-metal seals) and MTM (metal-to-metal seals).

VD Valve Removal Plug

The studded and flanged outlets on casing heads, spools and tubing heads are threaded to accept VD valve Removal Plugs. VD adapters are available for threaded outlets. VD Valve Removal Plugs are used to isolate the gate valves from pressure for removal or repairing.

TD Tubing Spools and Hangers 

MSP/DRILEX supplies a wide variety of tubing spools and hangers for well completions in high pressure and inclement environment, satisfying API 6A.

MSP/DRILEX TD-E, TD-EM and TD-MS tubing hangers, with working pressure up to 20000 PSI, reliable secondary seals and availability of control lines, are suitable for single or dual completions. And on request, total metal-to-metal seals without any elastomer can be used, for instance in subsurface control lines, for severe applications.

All well-completion systems and fittings offered by MSP/DRILEX have met or exceeded API 6A and relevant specifications, for purposes of high pressure and severe services.
 
 

TD-C Tubing Spool

MSP/DRILEX offers TD-C Tubing Spool as standard spool for single completion with flange end dimensions satisfying API 6A standards.

Feature of Bowl

A single 45°shoulder is employed in a straight bore for supporting the tubing load and avoiding bowl damage caused by drill stem rotation. Hoop load is minimized on the spool while high hanging capacity maintained.

Tubing Hanger Compatibility

For single completions, TD-C Tubing Spool is compatible with TD-EM, TD-E, TD-MS tubing hangers.

Side Outlet
Line pipe threaded and studded outlets are available and the studded outlets are threaded for valve removal plugs.

Lock-down Screws
Features of Lock-down Screws lies in packing installed in front of the threads, which will guard threads from contamination caused by erosive well fluids and eliminate solids accumulation behind screw.

Secondary Seals
Single and Double ES, EM and MTM (metal-to-metal) seals are available.

Test and Injection Ports
Metal-to-metal seals are applied for all test ports and venting is allowed. Check valves are buried in injection ports.
